Video: Columbus Neighborhood Watch Meeting Set for Tuesday

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Tuesday night you can learn how to help your neighborhood stay safe.

Ward 6 Councilman Bill Gavin has organized a neighborhood watch meeting after many residents in his ward requested it.

Columbus Police will be there to explain how you can spot suspicious activity and how to report it.

Councilman Gavin says it’s important that once a group gets up and running, they stick with it.

“Each neighbor needs to take responsibility for their own property, their neighbors responsibility and property for them. So it’s something we can all help each other with,” says Gavin.

The meeting will be in the Brandon gym at 6 p.m.
