Video: Columbus Police Investigating A to Z Mart Burglary

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Another cigarette bandit has struck, and Columbus police are looking to the public for assistance. It could mean a reward of up to $1,000.

Police say a man captured in surveillance video smashed the window at the A to Z Mart at 1225 Main Street at about 12:15 a.m. this morning. He loaded up Newport cigarettes and left through the smashed door.

Anyone with information is asked to call Columbus police or Crime Stoppers. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered.

In recent months, police have investigated similar thefts at the Shell Station at 9th and Main and twice and the downtown Fred’s store.
