COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Some MUW Nursing students got a financial shot in the arm this afternoon thanks to the Columbus Rotary Club. Dr. Sheila Adams, dean of the College of Nursing and Speech Pathology was on hand to brief members on the program’s progress.

The Rotary Club presented scholarship awards to several nursing students, and commended them for their efforts. Adams said she’s always glad to have the opportunity to tout the success of students and faculty.

“We have grown a lot in the last few years. And we really do a lot to help the community — not just the clinical experiences that we have in the hospital, but also a lot that we do in the community to help different groups.”

Rotarians recognized three nursing students for their hard work and accomplishments in the medical field.
