Video: Columbus to Hold Special Election for Ward 5 Seat

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Columbus will hold a special election for its open city council seat.

This, after Ward 5 councilman Kabir Karriem became the District 41 representative in the state legislature.

The special election will be held February 16.

The qualifying deadline is January 27.

Karriem served Ward 5 for six years.
