CRAWFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — North Mississippi residents are remembering a toddler killed in a car crash last week.
They held a vigil Sunday night to honor the life of three-year-old Tanyla Allen.
She died from injuries from a car wreck in Crawford Tuesday night. Tanyla was a passenger in a car that overturned several times.
She died Thursday at a Jackson hospital.
Residents say they wanted to show support for Tanyla’s family during such a difficult time.
“It’s in vast need for the family,” said Fred Tolon, a family member. “It was a shock for the family, of course the community as well. It’s to pull the community together, and support the family in a time of need.”
Lowndes County authorities are still investigating the one-car crash.
