STARKVILLE, Miss. – (WCBI) Grey Tedford is preparing for a summer trip. But unlike most college students who take the summer months to backpack through Europe or bask in the sun, he is traveling for a cause. This isn’t the first time Grey has used his athleticism to help those in need. He was travelled the south to help the children of St Jude’s and the victims of the April 27th tornados. But this trip and its cause hit close to home.

His mother, father and grandmother have all lost limbs. From California to Florida, Grey will be biking across the U-S in a couple of weeks. He plans to travel 60 miles a day. I met the Bruce native at Boardtown Bikes. Jan Morgan and crew were kind enough to outfit me with a bike and helmet.

On his cross country ride, he will only carry a small amount of supplies and a message.

Safe to say he won’t ask me to be his travelling partner. But for Grey Tedford, biking for those is need truly is just one more day in the life.

Special thanks again to Boardtown Bikes in Starkville for their role in this shoot.
