NEW ORLEANS, LA. – (WCBI) NCIS New Orleans is set to premiere Tuesday (9/23/14). So, what can we expect from the characters?

“I know everyone in this town. I know where all the bodies are. I know who is taking money, who is not taking money. So, we have an opportunity to create an entire city full of characters and come back to them,” says Scott Bakula aka “Dewayne Swear.”

Scott Bakula may be the lead investigator in the upcoming NCIS New Orleans series, but another familiar face will also be making an appearance.

“I’ve been with NCIS for 12 years. I started out as sort of a different, arch enemy of Mark’s character, Gibbs,” says Joe Spano.

They aren’t the only ones on the team of law enforcement.

“I get to interrogate the bad guys. Zoe McLellan plays one of the agents. We get to have a lot of fun together on set. They got a lot of playful banter with us,” says Lucas Black/ “Christopher LaSalle.”

In true NCIS form the medical examiner’s office will be central to the plot.

“This is the lab, and the morgue is next door. I play the medical examiners/coroner. And what I am doing is just unraveling the mystery of how this person departed. And I am doing it, obviously to solve the crime, but also for the comfort of the loved ones. And I suddenly, her character really came in as a kind of enthusiastic mystery detective,” says C.C.H. Pounder/ “Dr. Loretta Wade.”

“My character’s name is Sebastian Lund. He is a forensic scientist who spend most of his time in this room, doing various criminal science stuff. Getting to the bottom of mysteries. I’d like to say he was an expert in like knives and is a master assassin, but he is known of those things. Maybe season two,” says Adam Kerkovich.

These characters will come together Tuesday nights, only on CBS.
