LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — The bizarre case of the Tupelo man accused of sending ricin-laced letters to President Barack Obama, Senator Roger Wicker and Lee County Justice Court Judge Sadie Holland appears to be over.

James Everett Dutschke today agreed to honor the guilty plea in the federal case.

He originally appeared in federal court last week to enter the plea, but then recanted his confession and asked to go back to trial.

Following his appearance today, Judge Sharion Aycock sentenced Dutschke to 25 years in federal prison.
