MAYHEW, Miss. (WCBI) – East Mississippi Community College in Mayhew is hitting the airwaves. WGTC officially signed on last Thursday.

The station will run 24 hours and will be operated by students from 7 A.M. to 8 P.M. Station manager, Dr. Don Vaughan says the new program will give students valuable experience.

“Having this on their resume that they’ve worked at a real radio station, and wrote news, and delivered newscast, that’s going to be a great thing for them, and a great opportunity.”
