Video: Elementary Students in Tupelo Have a “Grand” Experience at School

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) -It was a time to celebrate Grandparents at Carver Elementary School in Tupelo. Hundreds of grandparents turned out for the “Grandparents Day” program.

Students sang several songs, and a video was shown, where some youngsters were able to tell what they love about their grandparents.

“My favorite thing to do with my grandparents is bake with my Meme and have fun with my granddaddy and I like to cook with my Nana.”

” What do you cook?”

” Pudding and stuff.”

“When I was still a little kid my grandma took me to Wal Mart to buy some play dough.”

Grandparents Day is this Sunday. There are a host of activities planned throughout Northeast Mississippi schools for grandparents next week .
