LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss.(WCBI)–At East Mississippi Community College students age 17 to 24 are being prepared for interviews when going after those high tech jobs.

When it comes to being prepared, mock interviews are held as well as giving classroom instructions.

Major employers like Yokohama give feedback telling what they want and expect from potential employees.

“So we bring that to our class and tell them well you know we work directly with some of these industry leaders. So this is what they expect for their employees to come in. So our instruction that we do is not just geared towards getting a job with anybody,” said ShaCarla Petty/EMCC Programs.

Whether its EMCC’s Manufacturing Skills or Counseling To Careers Program, both interviewing strengths and weaknesses are addressed.
