HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) — The search for an elderly Houston man officially ended Friday, but the man’s five children are still looking for their loved one.

Ever since Willie C. Harries went missing Aug. 23 from the Wofford Drive area of Houston, his children have been conducting their own search, now especially since law enforcement have halted their search.

“Anywhere from Chickasaw County, going up to Woodland, to Clay County. Just where ever that someone say that they might have spotted him or any kind of leads, we go to that area,” said Harries son, Eric.

“I pretty much put it out there on Facebook, Instagram, and put my personal information as well if anybody have any type of lead or know anything. You know you can contact me directly,” said daughter Turice Harries.

All Eric Harries can do now is continue working, while searching for his father — his second job. The younger Harries remembers the good times he shared with dad during frequent visits.

“Every Wednesday and Thursday, so I see him in the morning time as well as lunch and in the evening time. And plus some time on the weekend. So, I see him at least three to four days a week,” said Fritz Harries.

Although the elderly missing relative has a medical condition affecting his memory, and literally days have past since his disappearance, there is hope he’ll be found alive.

“Somebody somewhere knows what’s going on or either possibly. The only thing is we want daddy home safe. So we can give him the proper treatment, the proper place that he needs,” said Turice Harries.

Individuals with any information on Harries’ whereabouts are encouraged to contact the Chickasaw County 911 Dispatch at 662-456-9411.
