Video: Federal Charges for Monroe County Men

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) -Five Monroe County residents face Federal Charges for disturbing sacred Native American sites.
Boyd Boland, Perry Knowles, and Steven Finn, all of Nettleton, and Tony Lee Tate of Amory were arrested on charges of violating the Archaeological Resource Protection Act.

The men are accused of digging up and selling artifacts, including arrowheads and bannerstones, from Native American burial mounds on Army Corps of Engineers property along the Tenn-Tom Waterway.

If convicted, the men could face up to 10 years in prison and 250 thousand dollars in fines per count.

All five are out on bond.
