Video: Firefighters Stop by Stewart Nursery Center in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Stewart Nursery Center (SNC) welcomed a few special guests this afternoon.

To celebrate National Fire Safety Month, SNC welcomed several Columbus Fire Department firefighters.

Children were exposed to a plethora of gear used by firefighters when they respond to a blaze, and were told never to fear a firefighter if they are ever in such a situation.

The presentation coincided with Community Safety Month, and the nursery will welcome Columbus Mayor Robert Smith and Columbus Police Chief Tony Carleton later this month.
