Video: Fireworks Sales In North Mississippi

STARKVILLE, Miss.(WCBI)–People across North Mississippi and West Alabama will join the rest of the nation as we ring in the New Year with fireworks. The sky should be full of color and smoke Thursday night around midnight.

For the last 8 years a location on Highway 182 West just up from Stark Road in Starkville has been the place to get fire works.

When set off, in the sky there are expected to be as many colors as there are of the rainbow.

“There are some powerful fire works. And some of them young children don’t need to be lighting. Parents need to do it. Or if there are children out there lighting them they need to be supervised,” said Kelly Ray/Manager-Orbit Fireworks.

For the last couple of years the most popular fireworks item has been the multi-shots 500 gram cake, also known as repeaters.
