Video: Friday Marks 2 Year Anniversary of Deputy Shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -Friday, marked two years since two Lowndes County deputies were shot outside of a New Hope home.

Kent Coscia is still awaiting a mental evaluation. His next court date is scheduled for May 9th.

Coscia is charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer.

Deputies Clint Sims and Larry Swearingen were shot through the door of a Drake Circle home. Scott Glasgow was also injured.

Deputies were called there to check on Coscia.

It was learned Coscia had guns in the house before the shooting.

All of the injured deputies have returned to work.
