STARKVILLE, Miss.(WCBI)–At least two Golden Triangle mothers are applauding the efforts of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity aimed at violent gun death. Both their sons were victims of criminal gun violence.

“We can’t bring my son back, but every day of my life I have to live with that,” said, Mitchell.

Myrtle Mitchell is one of two mothers having the life of their son to end due to criminal use of guns. For Margaret Robinson, the death of her son Freddie who was killed during a home invasion hasn’t really sunk in yet.

“Oh no, no no. Matter of fact I don’t think it never hit me like its, I know its going to hit me, but right now I’m good you know,” said Margaret Robinson/Columbus.

“You just think about, what happened to my son it was senseless. It was no reason for it to happen,” said Myrtle Mitchell.

Mitchell’s son Devin was a standout athlete, star student and devoted church member.

“You can look at someone wrong and they’ll like shoot you for no reason,” said Myrtle Mitchell.

Robinson has advice for anyone thinking of resorting to violence when it comes to gun, let the legal process take it’s course.

“Don’t try to get revenge you know. Just let the law and the Lord take care of it,” said Margaret Robinson.

Gun violence has been occuring frequently in Golden Triangle Cities.
