Video: Golden Triangle Regional Airport has $200 Million Impact on Local Economy

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — It’s a huge economic engine that many people take for granted. But a new study says Golden Triangle Regional Airport pumps more than $272 million into the region’s economy each year while contributing to 798 jobs. The 30,000 passengers using the airport each year also help support another 698 indirect jobs. That’s a payroll of almost $61 million a year. Statewide, regional and community airports have a two point $5 billion economic impact. Golden Triangle is the state’s third largest airport.
