ACKERMAN, Miss.(WCBI)–Plans are in motion for this weekend’s Annual Graham/Moss Scholarship Golf Benefit Tournament.

This marks the 6th year 10 Choctaw County High School graduates will be receiving $500 in scholarship money.

The tournament is being held at Louisville Country Club. It honors Teachers Phyllis Graham and Steven Moss who lost their lives during a 2011 Calhoun County bus accident.

Scholarship recipients are chosen by school counselors. The event has grown over the years.

“The first three we had at the 9 hole course out at Ackerman. Then it got so, its gotten bigger and bigger. We had to move it to Louisville. And they are so gracious to donate their country club that we can use their course and we can get more teams which enables us to give out more money,” said Coach Gary Beals/CCHS.

Registration begins at 7:30 am Saturday, and players will play 27 holes throughout the day.
