Video: Guntown Race for the Cure Check Presentation

GUNTOWN, Miss. (WCBI) — Students at a middle school in our area helped raise more than $3,000 to fight breast cancer.

This afternoon, a pep rally was held at Guntown Middle School.Students and teachers presented a check for $3,200 to the local representative for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Last month, Guntown Middle School hosted its own “race for the cure” complete with a race, dance contest, and many other ways to raise funds for the Komen Foundation.

Several teachers at the school are breast cancer survivors and help plan and carry out the annual fundraiser.
