COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -As temperatures begin to drop,  the chances of house fires begin to rise. That’s why Columbus firefighters continue to spread the message about fire safety and having an escape plan. Wednesday morning they stopped by Heritage Academy. Students learned what to do if a fire breaks out at their home and how firemen use some rescue tools, like the jaws of life.
