HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) — Houston residents are getting a head start in celebrating Independence Day.

They held their annual homecoming event in downtown Houston, Saturday.

Residents listened to good music while checking out local vendors.

“We’ve had it for the last 12, 13 years,” said resident Judy Mitchem. “It’s just family fun and entertainment. The whole family comes and the kids have fun. It’s got live music. We just have a great time.”

Residents say they look forward to this event every year.
