HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) -The Houston School Board of Trustees continues its search for a new superintendent.

The board recently met with MSBA Executive Director Michael Waldrop Monday night as they attempt to find a new school superintendent.

Board members voted last month not to renew current Superintendent Steve Coker’s contract.

Although the board met with Waldrop during an emergency meeting today, no official action was taken.

Coker has served as the district’s superintendent for 14 years.
