Video: ICC Holds Festival to Help Bands Prepare for Competition

FULTON, Miss. (WCBI) -That is the Kosciusko Eighth Grade Band. They were part of the fifth annual ICC Band Festival in Fulton.

Sixteen bands from our area took part in the event. They perform for a panel of three judges, and get to see strong points and areas they need improvement.

Organizers say the band festival allows the young musicians to get a feel for competitions.

“It’s just another chance for them to get good experience because they do this quite a bit at the high school level but they have to go down to Jackson for the state evaluation on a much bigger scale. This just gives them a chance to start that process.”>
