Video: Judge sets High Bond for Suspect in the Shooting Death of Javon Johnson

WINONA, Miss. (WCBI) – A 23-year-old Winona man remains in jail on $500,000.00  bond on murder charges. Eddie Green had the charges bound over to the Montgomery County Grand Jury this week.

Winona City Judge Devoe Lancaster declined to reduced the bond but may review the issue later. Green is accused of shooting 21-year-old Javon Johnson in the head on June 16th during a dispute at the corner of Cade and Campbell streets in Winona. Johnson died two days later. An investigator testified this week that two guns are being analyzed by the state Crime Lab. He also said Green supposedly admitted the shooting to someone else but has not given detectives a confession.
