Neighbors I spoke with say the victims were a nice couple and they are devastated this horrible incident happened in their community.

A quite community now shaken after deputies find a couple dead in this home on Sunday morning.
“Right now of course everyone is on edge because nothing like this ever happens, even in the county.”

70 year old Donald Ralph Baker and his wife, 57 year old Evelyn Baker were found by a relative.
Sheriff Leo Mask says the evidence suggests the couple was killed in the same room, but were found separate.
A horrifying crime he says..should have never happened.
“They were good people. they were family people. everyone in the community here thought a lot of them.”

“They would do anything for you…but wouldn’t bother you”
Pat Mounse, a neighbor, who lives close by says the shock of it all is still there.

“I felt like someone had hit me in the stomach; I mean just a sick feeling. I couldn’t believe it.”

Investigators say there’s no history of domestic violence surrounding the victims. Mask says the couple died from blunt force trauma.

No arrests have been made in this case and no weapon has been found. Mask says several people are being interviewed.
