TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) -An incumbent district court judge in Lee County will stay on the bench, after official results show she won re election by a slim margin.

Last week, initial results showed Republican Phyllis Dye had beaten Democrat incumbent Sadie Holland for the Justice Court District 3 Seat.

However, Circuit Clerk Joyce Loftin noticed irregularities with vote totals in four precincts.

Voting machines had doubled and tripled votes in those precincts, so a recount took place.

Official results show Holland with a 66 vote margin of victory. Holland received 2529 votes while Dye garnered 2463.
