CORINTH, Miss. (WCBI)-Corinth residents won’t be able to buy liquor in time for the Super Bowl, even though the sale of alcohol became legal Friday (2-1-13).

Businesses that applied for their license to sell liquor and wine still have several weeks of processing before they will be state approved.

A notice will be published in the Corinth newspaper alerting all residents as to what businesses have applied to sell.

Residents who object to the licensing of any establishments listed in the paper must state their objections in writing to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board within 15 days of the notice.

The city will allow on-premise sales of liquor from one to ten on Sundays, and until nine at night Monday through Saturday.
