AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – Last night the Railroad Festival kicked off in Amory.

There were plenty of vendors selling fried foods and homemade goods, and a giant watch party for Amory’s star, Trent Harmon.

The fun and festivities continue all weekend long with live music, rides, and more.

This is the 38th annual Railroad Festival, and thousands flock to the town every year for the special event.

WCBI’s Allie Martin was on hand to enjoy the scene, with guest Andrew Blaylock, who spoke about how long the fest’s famous apple fritters had been attracting guests to the town, since before he was born!

The festival will continue throughout the weekend, with plenty of amusements for goers of all ages.
