LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – They say don’t let your babies grow up to be cowboys. But some kids in Louisville don’t have to grow up, they’re already riding like pros. The Little Britches Rodeo got off to a great start today. Over 80 kids from all over the state came out to compete in the rodeo. It was a chance for pint- sized competitors to saddle up and show off.

“We’re just doing all the Britches events, they’re trying to gain points to get to nationals, the nationals are held every July in Pueblo Colorado. A lot of volunteers that help us, we’re just trying to help these kids prepare to rodeo,” said Judd Sanborn, President of Mid South Little Britches Rodeo Association.

There were three divisions divided by age group. The event was held at the Louisville Coliseum and included bull riding and calf roping.
