COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Juniors and seniors in Lowndes County schools will soon get the opportunity to test for future jobs.

The Lowndes County school board voted unanimously to allow Workkeys testing for upperclassmen.

The tests will be available in March. These tests measure how successful a student will be in the manufacturing fields such as Yokohama Tire plant coming to West Point.

The board will be partnering with the Golden Triangle Development Link and East Mississippi Community College.

The Link will cover half the cost of the $50.00 test cost.
