JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) — State Sen. Chris McDaniel’s campaign says it has enough evidence to challenge the republican primary runoff results, but it could be 10 days before that happens.

Attorneys today told the media they’ve found illegal and crossover votes, along with improper absentee ballots.

They did not provide numbers, saying they didn’t want to play their case out in the media.

The campaign wants the state to rule if candidates should have to pay to review poll books because birth dates are redacted or copies are made.

Cochran’s campaign held a press conference on their own today, saying the McDaniel camp has not provided any evidence nearly a month after the election.

A spokesman says Cochran will now step away from his “circus” to focus on the November general election.
