LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Three Louisville tornado survivors will have a new place to call home, just in time for Christmas.
The Mennonite Disaster Service gave the keys to the women today at a dedication ceremony.
Gloria Burrage and Linda Lee both lost their Beale Street homes when the EF-4 twister tore through town April 28.
MDS, along with Winston Strong, helped in the days after to make sure the women would soon have a new place to live.
“Thanks to all of the volunteers, everybody that made this possible,” survivor Gloria Burrage said. “And I don’t know, thanks everybody.”
“It means a lot to me, and I know God has been good to me,” survivor Linda Lee said. “He has blessed me, and I am thankful that I am back into my own home.”
Pearline Smith also received the keys to her new house today on Eiland Avenue.
