WINONA, Miss. (WCBI) — Success breeds success, or at least the desire to join the winning team. That was the message Friday in Winona.

Mississippi State University’s director of public affairs, Sid Salter, told the Rotary Club that the university has seen a definite increase in interest from new students, as the Bulldogs continue to dominate on the football field.

“When a university has this sort of athletic success, the next year you can expect to see the enrollment increase of three to eight percent. I fully expect that Mississippi State is going to get a bounce out of this in terms of advancing the academic side of that university.”

The Bulldogs hope to continue their on-field success this weekend against the Arkansas Razorbacks.
