Video: MSU Hosts Men and Women of Color Summit

STARKVILLE, Miss.(WCBI)–The 2015 Men and Women of Color Summit is underway at The Mill in Starkville.

“Reframing the Dialogue around Men and Women of Color: Academic Success in Higher Education.” is the theme of the conference which includes attendees from surrounding colleges and universities.

In these kinds of settings, these conference goers are able to network, drawing on information being given from seasoned professionals and educators.

“The motivation you get from each individual that speaks. The encouragement, the advice, the wisdom,” said Kendall Bunch/JSU Students.

“We are just trying to get a message across that even though we are minorities we can achieve greatness. We have the opportunity of achieving greatness,” said Kristen Dupard/Conference Attendee.

The two day summit is organized by MSU Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion.
