COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Mississippi State University president Mark Keenum spoke to the Rotary Club in Columbus, Tuesday.

During his speech, Keenum touched on different topics – one of them being on-campus construction.

Keenum says he realizes how difficult it is for drivers to get around campus. The school is in the process of creating signs to warn drivers about the construction jobs when they enter campus.

Keenum says he apologizes for the inconvenience that this is causing drivers, especially on game days.

“We have a campus committee, a game day committee that’s working to try to promote parking off campus,” Keenum said. “We have remote parking lots that are in the city of Starkville that are serviced with shuttle services to the campus.”

Keenum is expecting things to be busy for the home opener against LSU, but is advising all LSU fans to park off campus and utilize the shuttle busses to get dropped off at the stadium.
