Video: MUW Gets Huge Endowment

COLUMBUS, Miss.(WCBI)–More good news coming out of MUW in Columbus. A former W graduate along with her husband gives a huge endowment gift in their honor.

Housed in a portion of the renovated library is now the new Kossen Center For Teaching And Learning.

Named in honor of 1964 MUW graduate Connie Kossen and her husband Tom, grant money is being used to support faculty over and above their normal salaries and to develop new program and methods of teaching.

“Ways of teaching have changed so rapidly and this center for teaching and learning have a smart classroom. So that teachers can learn about the new technology and ways of teaching,” said Connie Kossen/MUW Graduate.

The actual amount of the endowment was not disclosed.
