NATCHEZ TRACE, Miss. (WCBI) — The Natchez Trace Parkway is seeing a boost in visitors.

That’s according to a new report from the National Park Service.

The report says six million people visited the Trace last year, and spent nearly $139 million in areas close to the park.

That’s a boost from 2012. The Parkway saw more than five million visitors that year, with a $126 million impact.

The report says visitors spent the most money on lodging, and the least amount on souvenirs.
