Video: National Composers Gather on MUW’s Campus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-Well-known National composers gave outstanding performances on the Mississippi University for Women campus Saturday.

The concert featured the work of composers from various universities such as Dr. Richard Montalto from the W, Dr. Joe Alexander from Louisiana Tech University, and Dr. Olga Harris from Tennessee State University.

Each work featured instruments including piano, flute, tuba, and electronic music.

The National Association of Composers Concert was founded back in 1933 by Henry Hadley making it one of the oldest organizations devoted to promoting performances of American Concert hall music.
