NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) – New Albany is asking the Legislature to grant it permission to one day extend natural gas service as far west as Potts Camp in Marshall County.

Aldermen say getting permission now would allow the city to meet future demand as it arises in areas along Highway 349, near Myrtle and other western parts of the county. Even with legislative approval, the city utility isn’t obligated to provide service unless demand warrants it.
