COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – In light of this weekend’s tragedy, schools have had to prepare a little differently for classes tomorrow morning.

Suspected drowning victims Justin and Jacob Brown attended New Hope Elementary. Superintendent Lynn Wright spoke to WCBI about the schools strategy for helping students through the next few days.

“We’ve got a plan in place in the morning for counselors to be available to meet with classes. The teachers are calling parents of the other students in the classes. Counselors will be available in the morning and several ministers have volunteered to be available if needed,” said Lowndes County Superintendent Lynn Wright.
