LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)-A plant that’s been closed for a year after laying off dozens of employees in Louisville is getting new life. A new company has signed a lease to operate out of the former Georgia Pacific plywood plant on South Columbus Avenue. The plant closed more than a year ago after slowly phasing out production. Governor Phil Bryant and other state and federal officials will join Louisville and Winston County leaders in ceremonies Monday afternoon to release the company’s name and other details. Red Hills salvage has spent the last year working with the city to clean out the building and property getting it ready for another tenant. The public is invited to Monday’s 2:30 p.m. event at the site.
