Video: Noxubee County Sheriff’s Department Still Looking for Clues in Missing Woman Case

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) -It’s been more than a month since an elderly Noxubee County woman was reported missing and investigators are still looking for clues.

74-year-old Lucy Wilborn Townsend was last seen July 23rd. She was reportedly walking along Highway 14 near the corner of Hill and Simmons Roads. Family members say Townsend suffers from a form of dementia and takes medication.

“We have not called off the investigation. We are still searching for her. We have moved off into a different area. We still have MBI and Highway Patrol. Their investigative staff is giving us a hand, and plus another couple of agencies are giving us a hand.”

There is a $2,000.00 reward being offered in the case. Anyone with information should call the Noxubee County Sheriff’s Department or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers.
