Starkville, Miss. (WCBI) — Oktibbeha County Supervisors are continuing their search for a county administrator. Officials have whittled down the list of candidates from 33 to just four.

Using a list of twelve questions to help make their decision as to who gets that county position, Oktibbeha County Supervisors were finished for the day in time for lunch[Monday]. County Comptroller Emily Garrard and City Chief Administrative Officer Lynn Spruill are familiar faces to the area vying for the position.

Long time regional healthcare and labor expert John Thomas was interviewed. The last to go before the board was Ivory Williams, Former Deputy For Housing and Community Development in Jackson. Until Posey’s position is filled, his duties are being split and distributed throughout the county.

“Any of the four are capable you know and on certain points you know some stood out more than others. And we are just excited man, that we have attracted that kind of caliber of people that are interested in helping us to move this county forward,” said Orlando Trainer, Oktibbeha County Supervisor.

Oktibbeha County Supervisors will meet again on March 17th during a recess meeting to make final decisions on who becomes the next Oktibbeha County Administrator.
