STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)-  A job well done by the Oktibbeha County Fire Department and other county officials is being featured in the April edition of a national magazine. Oktibbeha County and other Golden Triangle agencies partnering with Emergency 9-1-1 responders are using GPS technology. The initiative that re-mapped roads and buildings begins on page 32 of  the article in Fire Chief magazine. For quicker response time, almost eleven hundred structures, residences, barns, businesses, and stores fronts were identified and catalogued. Since it’s implementation the system can get within five point twenty-eight feet of a location without confusion.
