Video: Ole Miss Honors Distinguished Alumnus with Department Naming

UNIVERSITY, Miss. (WCBI) – The History Department at Ole Miss will now be known as the Arch Dalrymple III Department of History. The Amory native graduated from Ole Miss following his service in World War Two.

He returned home to develop several successful business, real estate and investment opportunities.
Family and Friends say history was always his passion
“I’m hoping that this endowment can put Mississippi’s History department forward and center stage with some of the top History departments in the country.”
Dalrymple funded lectures series and endowments at the school.
