Video: Outgoing Port Director Honored by Lowndes County Supervisors

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – He helped turn the Lowndes County Port into one of the busiest sites on the Tenn-Tom Waterway. Today, John Hardy was recognized by Lowndes County supervisors for his 16 years of service as director of the Lowndes County Port Authority. During his time, he helped develop the Columbus marina, expanded the existing port, brought Kinder Morgan to a second port and attracted several new businesses. Hardy retired last week and he and his wife were on hand today to receive a resolution from the supervisors.
