TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – Second Graders at Tupelo’s Parkway Elementary School were “Agents of Change” this afternoon.  It was all part of a musical that emphasized positive character traits, such as honesty,  integrity, responsibility , physical fitness and contentment.

All second graders have been working hard for about a month to prepare for the musical and the teacher who organized it all says the youngsters have learned valuable lessons while getting ready for the big event.

“We want to instill in them as educators good quality so they can take that throughout their life and use that as they get older, to make good decisions, how they pick friends, the choices they make, when they grow up to make career choices,  just being a good citizen and making a difference in their community,” said Bridgett Hawkins, music specialist at Parkway Elementary.

The gym was filled to overflowing as parents, grandparents and friends watched the afternoon performance.
