Video: Plan for Traffic While Traveling for Holiday Season

[bitsontherun pCPUNinM]UNDATED, Miss. (WCBI)-Area law enforcement agencies are gearing up for the busiest Thanksgiving holiday travel period in four years. Triple A estimates almost 44 million people will travel by land and air this holiday. That’s up almost 1 percent from last year. Of those, about 400,000 are expected to be Mississippians. Almost half of all travelers will leave Wednesday and more than half will return either Friday or Saturday. Drops in gas prices and a slowly improving economy are contributing to this year’s increase in travel. The number of air travelers is expected to fall from last year.
