EUPORA, Miss. (WCBI) – People travelling through Webster County will have a permanent reminder of a police officer who lost his life in the line of duty. Family members, fellow law enforcement officers, and State officials were on hand as a section of Highway 82 was officially named in memory of Eupora Police Officer Keith Crenshaw.

Crenshaw was struck by a bank robbery getaway car while trying to lay a spike strip across the highway. Crenshaw is remembered as a man devoted to his family and his community.

“If Keith could go back to that day and start it all over again, he wouldn’t change a single thing about it. He would answer that call, and he would give it his all all over again. He loved serving the people of this community and his county.”

House Bill 615 naming the stretch of road for Crenshaw passed the Legislature without opposition.
